About Training Support for Industry Ltd (TSI)

Since 1996 TSI has gradually grown form 1 member of staff to 4 members of staff that can teach and test on over 160 different subjects covering forklift truck, cranes , plant machinery, safety services, staff development, small tools, ground care, utility subjects, NRASW and NVQ's.

TSI holds centre accreditation with LANTRA, NPORS, CITB /CPCS, CAA and City & Guilds to offer basic / novice training, experienced worker assessment as well as the NVQ level 2 in Plant & Lifting Operations.

TSI only uses instructors that are registered with one of the above mentioned nationally accredited awarding bodies as recommended in the HSE L117.

TSI has an ongoing program for the company and its staff developing the quality in its delivery, This takes different routes form internal auditing and visits for the CPCS monitors and awarding bodies verifiers.

Our performance is monitored by all the awarding bodies every 6 months, that we are registered with and they are able to visit our training course, tests or NVQ training at any time, and in turn they compile a development report on our performance.

We encourage our instructors to improve their own teaching aids and teaching techniques.

We also insist on all our instructors having or working towards their TDLB units to a minimum of 7306 standard or higher.

When you choose TSI for your training requirements you will be invited to visit the course in progress and give your views on the training so that we can tailor the course syllabus to you specific needs.

As of 2008 we purchased a farm and developed a training centre in Easington Colliery
